Rick Hill - Author Talk In-Person

Rick Hill is the author of the #1 New York Times Best Seller: “Pete Rose, My Prison Without Bars,” which reviewers have called one of the best sports biographies of the decade. “Hill understands people and has that unique ability to capture the inner-life of a character and take the reader on a compelling journey that enlightens as well as entertains,” writes one Amazon.com reader.

A sought-after public speaker, Rick was the keynote speaker at the Dr. Homer Rice National Leadership Banquet in Atlanta as well as dozens of church, university and charitable organizations. Rick was inducted into the PHS Ohio Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.

Rick has written several original screenplays, including “The Long Shot” (optioned as a movie) about World Series Champion, Jim Eisenreich and his lifelong battle with a rare neurological affliction. Rick also wrote the script for “Teresa LaRue,” (NBC Dateline Special) mother of three young boys, all afflicted with the fatal XLP blood disease, resulting in the first ever Cord Blood transplant recipients in UCLA medical history.

Rick attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship and graduated as a Rhodes Scholar candidate.  Jerry Glanville, former NFL coach and the man who recruited Rick to Georgia Tech will be introducing the program.
