The Doctor will See You Now with Dr. Casillas In-Person
Join Mercy Health Primary Care physician Dr. Alexis Casillas for a look behind the curtain at what’s happening at your medical appointment. Dr. Casillas will share what happens at medical appointments and answer questions like ‘Why is my physician always running late?’ ‘Why do they ask so many screening questions at each visit?’ ‘Why do I have to do a Medicare Annual Wellness exam?’ ‘Why do they ask me about vaccines?’ ‘How come I can’t rely on google for medical advice?’ ‘How do physicians keep up with new health information?’ These are just some of the questions Dr. Casillas will discuss. Dr. Casillas will take questions from the audience as well.
Dr. Alexis Casillas-Rubin is a second-year Family Medicine resident with Mercy St. Vincent’s Perrysburg Program in Ohio. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and is originally from Los Angeles, California. She has a strong interest in preventative and geriatric medicine and enjoys helping community members better understand how primary care physicians support health at every stage of life.
