MIndful Matters - Great Lakes Watershed In-Person
The Great Lakes hold 90% of North America’s surface fresh water and are vital to our region’s economy, ecology, and culture. Yet they face serious threats, including nutrient pollution, climate change, contaminants, habitat loss, and biodiversity decline. Dr. Sarah Emery, new Director of BGSU’s Center for Great Lakes and Watershed Studies, will discuss these environmental challenges and share highlights of the center’s collaborative research to better understand and protect Great Lakes systems.
