Mindful Matters - The Rise of “Influencer” Culture Online: How to Navigate and Understand It In-Person
Dr. Montana Miller, Popular Culture professor at BGSU, will lead a discussion shedding light on the phenomenon of Internet “influencers,” providing nuanced answers to burning questions such as: Is this a real job? How did this even become a thing? What are the positive aspects (for individuals and for society) and what are the drawbacks/dangers? This program is presented in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area.
