Base Camp Stories - Kayaking the Lake Erie Islands In-Person

Sometimes we don't have to look much further than our backyard for adventure. The Lake Erie Islands are an archipelago that dots the western basin of Lake Erie from Catawba all the way to the Canadian mainland. The islands are a mix of cottage country, protected areas and spectacular shorelines. Join Eric Slough, ACA certified kayak instructor, Great Lakes expeditioner, and coordinator of the South Bass Island Kayak Rendezvous as he describes a destination that is only a stone's throw away.

Join Wood County Parks and Way Public Library this winter as we invite local outdoorsmen and women to share stories of their adventures, provide information on their planning, background, gear, and experience to inspire us for our own next outdoor adventures!
