Frauds and Scams: Spot Them and Stop Them In-Person
The internet world of social media, AI, and other new technologies create potential for amazing advancements in all areas of our lives. However, they also pose dangers for the unwary. Fraudsters and thieves are constantly looking for new ways to steal your money or personal information. Their attacks can be sophisticated. They will pull on your heartstrings, paly on your fear, or trick you into confusion.
Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn and Prosecutor Paul Dobson have years of experience coordinating efforts to combat and respond to scams. Join them as they discuss some of the tactics used, share ways to spot these scams, and off safety tips for protecting yourself.
