Virtual Author Visit with Tracy Barrett In-Person
Join us for an online visit with children's author Tracy Barrett and discuss her book series "The Sherlock Files"! Tracy Barrett has written more than twenty books for children and young adults. She’s much too interested in too many things to stick to one genre, and has published nonfiction as well as historical fiction, mysteries, fantasy, time travel, myth and fairy-tale retellings, and contemporary realistic novels. She knows more about ancient Greece and Rome and the European Middle Ages than anyone really needs to know, can read lots of dead languages, and used to jump out of airplanes. She was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to study medieval women writers and won the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Work-in-Progress Grant in 2005. She taught Italian and other subjects at Vanderbilt University for almost thirty years.
At the end of Tracy's talk there will be a Q & A and we'll raffle off 5 signed copies of Tracy's books to those who attend!
A Zoom invitation will be sent out the day before the author visit. Questions? Contact Melissa Tallis, Youth Services Coordinator at melissa.tallis@waylibrary.info or 419-874-3135 ext. 109
